Sewanee’s Agroforestry Project in Haiti

Join Sewanee’s Keri Bryan, C’12 on her last trip as a post-baccalaureate fellow to Bois Joli, Haiti. During her fellowship, Keri worked with Dr. Deborah McGrath to launch an agroforestry project centered around coffee production, in partnership with a Haitian organization called Zanmi Agricole. Dr. McGrath continues to expand the project with Haitian agronomists, Bois Joli farmers and Sewanee students.

The media piece was photographed and produced by Stephen L. Garrett (Sewanee C’01) from a trip to Haiti in May, 2013. Stephen is the Senior Visual Media Producer for the Office of Marketing and Communications at Sewanee. His multimedia work has taken him to 13 countries and across the US as a field producer and photographer. In 2012, Stephen was nominated for 3 regional Emmy awards, along with Nathan Clendenin (Sewanee C’00), for their work for UNC Hospitals.
